Resultative-object
sentences are a type of sentence defined according to the semantic relationship
between the verb and the object. Using theories of modern lexical semantics and
cognitive semantics, this book conducts a systematic study of the syntactic and
semantic features of the resultative-object sentences and is therefore valuable
to the studies of linguistics and applied linguistics.
